High Five for Friday

Hey everyone, we hope you all had a great week! We are both getting close to the end of the school year (Shannon is closer than Niki) Woo Hoo! I think teachers get just as excited for the end of the year as the kids do! They get so antsy and ridiculous towards the end and makes me a little bit nuts!!

1. We started off our week running our very first 5K together! It was such a great day and we loved it!

2. Niki's daughter Faith had her music concert on Monday night and she did great!

3. We sponsored a giveaway on another blog, challenge accepted. Allison was our lucky winner! We love doing giveaways! We even offered a coupon code to her readers, so if you're looking to order something be sure to hop over to her blog first :)

4. I brought brownies for my seniors' last day today and cupcakes yesterday. I'm like MarthaFreakingStewart lately. However I must confess, the cupcakes were an impulse purchase at WalMart. But I made those brownies fresh this morning!!

5. We got our Advocare Spark energy drink mixes this morning. We are so excited for them. We love that they are sugar free and provide a great energy boost! Can't wait to put them to good use this summer!

High five for Friday

We are linking up with the lovely Lauren again this week.

1. Niki's class is going to the movie today! We are going to see The Croods. We couldn't be more excited.

2. I added these black bins to the linen closet and I am loving them. They are waiting for some awesome labels from Shannon. Also, my formerly empty shelf is now full of empty bins and baskets that Shannon got when we re-organized Faith's room last week.

3. We re-organized Faith's room last week. Shannon had the day off, and I had the week off. Faith's room was a disaster. We decluttered, pared down and rearranged. It is looking so much better and she is maintaining it pretty well. Look for a post on that later this month. :)

4. I got these wonderful new pouches from thirty-one that are helping me to keep my purse neat and organized. I love that they are so bright and cheery! No more digging to the bottom of my purse to find something!

5. I have become a freak....look at all that I require to prepare breakfast and lunch. Plus the coffee pot is running too! and those labels....expect a post on my labeling frenzy soon too!

home management binder {makeover part 5}

 The next section in my home management binder is vehicle maintenance. There isn't a lot in this section. But it is still important to track these kind of things. 

This section holds a maintenance sheet for each of our vehicles...normal things like oil changes, and not so normal things like the new windshield on my car.

For the next new vehicle, I think I will keep loan and purchasing documents in this section as well. But for now the Envoy is paid for and my car is almost paid off (my loan documents are at my parents' house somewhere). So this is all that is in this section for now.


The next section is finances, but I am going to skip to school information. This section holds my school calendar and requests for days off, and other documents that come up.

I suppose that I could keep a copy of my contract in here as well. People with kids will have much more to fill up their school information section with, so until I reach that point, my school information section is basically just a work information section.

And here is our Friday Five

1. I start a new position at my school on Monday. Hooray. I will be running the alternative education classroom. This position also comes with a wage increase, double hooray. especially when paying back a boatload of student loans.

2. We are thankful that our brother survived a car accident with only very minor injuries. He was so lucky!!

3. I have been able to run outside all week with this wonderful weather!!

4. Carter, Niki's oldest son is all signed up and ready to go for youth wrestling! Teeny tiny wrestlers are so cute!

5.Niki's daughter, Faith, got to see what her dance costumes will look like. Since we were both in dance from 3-18, this is a big deal!!

We gave away a grocery and menu planning set to Emily and one of her lucky readers. Emily's blog is more fitness oriented, so we thought grocery and menu planning would work great for her and her readers. Check out her post about the giveaway here!!

THE NEW LIFE PLANNER

The 2012-2013 Life Planners are {almost} ready!! 

Here are a few examples of the covers we have:

The front covers will be printed on cardstock and laminated for durability. 

We plan to add a pocket inside the front and back cover.

In the front of the planner we will have a two year at a glance calendar.

Followed by a place to list all of your special dates {birthday, anniversaries, etc}

Each month, has a full calendar with a notes page.

Each month has a different color scheme. 

In this planner I combined my goals and to do lists into my weekly calendar. This leaves me with only one place to look. much more efficient.  Each day is divided into morning, day, and night. 

Prices of our new planner have yet to be determined, but we will be offering one for free to one lucky reader soon!
