blog planner

Niki and I have been looking for a blog planner for a while now. We struggled because we write the blog together but we live a little over an hour apart. But we are both a little old school, and like to actually write things down. (this also explains our obsession with planners) So my sister found this blog planner from confessions of a home schooler, so now we each have one of these cuties.

We had considered making one, but being new to this blogging thing, we weren't sure where to start. Then we found this planner that Erica had made, and it was cute and even better it was free. So printed them out and I popped mine in a binder similar to the one I am using for my home management binder.

Here's a peak inside...

I also keep stats from our etsy store in my blog binder

I keep weekly/monthly stats...

and customer orders...

Anyone else have blog planners or planning methods they want to share?? leave a comment!

And don't forget about our JULY ETSY SALE! 20% off your entire order through the end of July! Use the coupon code JULYSALE at the checkout.

etsy store reorganization

Today's organization is a not a normal fifteen minutes of organizing. Today I am reorganizing our etsy store. I had a revelation the other day, my home management binder documents do not match, and that is a problem! In fact I'm not sure how I got along this long with the un-matching-ness. So now I am revamping the etsy store and offering some new and some redone documents to make a home management binder set (yay!)
The set is 19 documents, all personalized to your family. Hooray!
The set includes:
automobile log

babysitter notes

bill payment log

password log

chore chart

cleaning checklist

contacts

kids' schedule

monthly budget

daily agenda

home maintenance

household information

important dates

blank monthly calendar

monthly menu planner

petsitter notes

grocery list

to do list

week at a glance

19 gloriously matched documents

I am also working on creating some other "sets" to offer in the etsy store. I'm thinking:
grocery and menu planning
finances
cleaning and organizing
for the teacher
and maybe more...we'll see how creative I get.
Check them out in our etsy store!

fifteen minutes of {organizing}

The coffee table. In theory its a great idea. In reality, its like the dumping ground for all things random and is generally in a state of disaster. Don't have a coffee table? Any kitchen table, end table, counter top, etc will do. You know you have one, we all do.
Here's mine (please don't judge- I swear I'm not really a slob. just never home for very long at a time.)

Everything gets dumped here when we walk into the room. A computer or two, magazines, water bottles, aloe vera, random mail, and an alarm clock??

The bottom shelf stayed a little more organized. Stack of magazines on the left, the center basket holds  gaming supplies ( I mean because how can you play call of duty {or I guess you call it COD?} without the cute little microphone and headphones to talk trash to your opponent??? and on the right is a target dollar spot basket that holds some random papers?? a computer bag and of course some giant bodybuilding book.

So I started by clearing everything off of the table and sorted papers into like piles.

I snagged these baskets at the dollar store for $2 a piece to corral some of our goodies on the bottom shelf and one for the top.

Then, once the table is finally clear, CLEAN IT! yay for a clean and clear coffee table. I used Pledge multi-surface spray. Its super easy to just grab it to use anywhere.

My first attempt at the bottom shelf. Epic fail. So I tried again.

All of these magazines have to find a new home. Anywhere but the coffee table.

finished.

the only thing on the top of the table. (in theory) holds some random papers, resumes and mail

What have you been organizing lately?? Share your coffee table dumping grounds with us.
