Friday Five

Here we are, linking up with Lauren for our High Five for Friday!

1. I have been cutting out laminated goodies like a mad fiend this week. Woot for fun new things for Niki's kid-o's and my tutoring girls.

2. Faith had her last two softball games last Wednesday night and did great! It was so nice to go watch as a family!

3. I , Shannon, went home for a day and had a little family bonding with the parents and little bro.

4. The big kids went to Skill School this week and Jayce and I got to spend tons of one-on-one time together. They all had a blast last night at Family Fun Night. I'm so glad we found such a great church for our kids too!

5. I (Niki) have been training for my 5K this weekend. I think I can finish it. I even went out for a late night run last night. I can make it 2 miles, and I'm hoping adrenaline will kick in and I can finish strong!

We are busy updating the planner and we will *hopefully* be posting about it this week! Be ready, it's pretty awesome!

High five for Friday

Hello all! Here we are to share our Friday Five and link up with the lovely Lauren.

1. I made these pretties for a customer this week! I love the cheery spring colors!

2. Shannon is doing some tutoring this summer so of course a fun tutoring bag is required! It's a 31 bag and it is jam packed full of  teachery things!

3. We all went to lunch at Culver's to celebrate Carter's bravery at the dentist! He wanted lunch with Aunt Shan as his treat (heart flutters).

4. This face. I can hardly stand it. Also, it's totally fine to drink your ice cream when you are just three :)

5. I sent a care package of sort to our friend Amanda in Massachusetts. She is training for a half marathon, that silly lady. (remember, she is the one who guest posted about her fitness plan, here)

High Five for Friday

Hello! We have had a crazy busy week, as always. Here is our High Five!

1. Niki completed TEACCH training this week to help her when working with students with Autism. It was a long 3 days, with tons of information and lots of good ideas to use in the classroom next year.

2. We are doing a giveaway with LindyLou! Go to her blog to find out more information and to be inspired!

3. The boys had their first t-ball game Sunday. Carter was a rockstar. Jayce, not so much. But he is only 3 1/2. I sometimes have too high of expectations for my children. :)

4. Niki and Shannon have both been applying for teaching jobs and to go back to school over the last couple weeks. It is very exciting and nerve-wracking! #backtoschool

5. Faith has been a rock star at softball. She plays coach-pitch and is really learning the game!

High Five for Friday

We have been MIA from High Five for Friday, but we are back in full force. Summer vacation snuck up on us and we went into vacation mode with the blog too! ACK! But, here we are, linking up with Lauren again with our High Five for Friday. Here it goes:

1. Niki got to go shopping, to the doctor and to get groceries, all by her self! Woot!

2. New planners are in the works, for us, our mom & brother and eventually you! Woot again!

3. Shannon flower-ized her apartment. Now that the weather has finally caught up with the calendar, I am all for bringing in some glorious spring colors!

4. Niki got a couple fun tops and some awesome long and lean tanks from the buckle (our favorite). They should be here the beginning of the week.

5. Summer ball is in full swing! Faith has already had 2 games and the boys first game is Sunday. Expect pictures. :) Now to recruit Aunt Shan to help!

High Five for Friday

Hey everyone, we hope you all had a great week! We are both getting close to the end of the school year (Shannon is closer than Niki) Woo Hoo! I think teachers get just as excited for the end of the year as the kids do! They get so antsy and ridiculous towards the end and makes me a little bit nuts!!

1. We started off our week running our very first 5K together! It was such a great day and we loved it!

2. Niki's daughter Faith had her music concert on Monday night and she did great!

3. We sponsored a giveaway on another blog, challenge accepted. Allison was our lucky winner! We love doing giveaways! We even offered a coupon code to her readers, so if you're looking to order something be sure to hop over to her blog first :)

4. I brought brownies for my seniors' last day today and cupcakes yesterday. I'm like MarthaFreakingStewart lately. However I must confess, the cupcakes were an impulse purchase at WalMart. But I made those brownies fresh this morning!!

5. We got our Advocare Spark energy drink mixes this morning. We are so excited for them. We love that they are sugar free and provide a great energy boost! Can't wait to put them to good use this summer!

High Five for Friday

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great week! We have both had pretty crazy, and a little bit stressful weeks.

1. Our daddy delivered my new dryer and installed it. I was like giddy, over the moon to have that bad boy! I had to use the "public" dyer and I am just not a fan of sharing washing facilities with strangers. And of course this baby matches the washer that we bought when we moved in. So I spent two days doing massive amounts of laundry.

2. I wrote my first letter of recommendation for a friend's daughter. Who knew I was qualified for that?? I certainly did not, but I hope it helps her get the scholarship!!

3. We are getting excited to run our first 5K together on Sunday for the Susan G. Komen, Run for a Cure! Wish us luck!!

4. Niki's class is on a field trip today! Who doesn't love a field trip on a Friday???

5. Niki busted out a mile straight in her run! That's a big deal! Those of you who know us personally, know how much of an accomplishment that is!

1. Spring has sprung!! There was still one late start day for my kids this week, but the last few days have been positively delightful!

5. I, Shannon, have had my hair and make up done everyday this week, but I have also left the house anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes late. So I think that's a wash. Next week I will get it together!! I'm still working on getting the hang of the curls that have to go along with this new {trendy} hair color. (ps. I am so not even trendy, not even a little)

Friday Five!

Here we are, back with our Friday Five!

1. Niki got to run outside again this week on Monday, but not agin for the rest if the week. :(

2.  Shannon is spending a no school morning working on some etsy orders, while enjoying some coffee. Not chugging it while driving to work is always a bonus :)

3. Shannon got a new hair color!! That totally counts right? Some of you may have already spotted it on instagram!

4. We get to spend the afternoon together doing a little last minute prom shopping :) hooray for a little sister bonding.

5. Shannon made a meal off pinterest and it was delicious! It totally validates all my time wasted spent on pinterest, right?

6. Niki's class is at the circus today!!! Who doesn't love a field trip?? Especially on a Friday!!

High Five for Friday!

We are sharing our five highs from the week, and linking up with the lovely Lauren! Hop on over and see what she's up to. (disregard the fact that I just ended a sentence with the word to, please!)

1. Carter (Niki's 6 year old) had his concert Tuesday and he was a stud in his sweater vest. Sad news, I forgot to take his picture. I am both a bad mom and a bad blogger.

2. Monday Niki ran outside. It was beautiful! I ran 3.1 miles in about 45 minutes. And I didn't die, or get mugged. I'm marking that one down in the W column.

3. Shannon and I have been working hard on some Etsy sales this week. Stop on over to our shop if you are interested in something. Use the code SPRINGCLEAN for 20% off! We are adding new things to the shop almost weekly. We will have a update post coming your way soon!

4.  This week, I, Shannon, have had a "sick day" and a late start. Since I just went to the doctor to get an antibiotic for my sinus infection and got to visit my momma, I think that's a win for the week too! Except ya know the whole snowing in April business. Plus, also I'll be feeling good as new in no time!

5. I am in full swing prom palooza planning mode. While it makes me just a bit nauseous, I think it will all come together and it will look great! I just have to last another two weeks without loosing it!

1. Niki's class is going to the movie today! We are going to see The Croods. We couldn't be more excited.

2. I added these black bins to the linen closet and I am loving them. They are waiting for some awesome labels from Shannon. Also, my formerly empty shelf is now full of empty bins and baskets that Shannon got when we re-organized Faith's room last week.

3. We re-organized Faith's room last week. Shannon had the day off, and I had the week off. Faith's room was a disaster. We decluttered, pared down and rearranged. It is looking so much better and she is maintaining it pretty well. Look for a post on that later this month. :)

4. I got these wonderful new pouches from thirty-one that are helping me to keep my purse neat and organized. I love that they are so bright and cheery! No more digging to the bottom of my purse to find something!

5. I have become a freak....look at all that I require to prepare breakfast and lunch. Plus the coffee pot is running too! and those labels....expect a post on my labeling frenzy soon too!

1. I (Niki) got a highlight, trim and eyebrow wax on Monday! It feels so good! I am in love with my new spring hair. I even tried a curly situation. I like it a lot!

2.Plus. Also, I (Niki) have been on spring break all week. That means getting a lot of things taken care of, including naps. I went for my fun doctors appointment, the dentist, the oncologist, you know, the usual.

3. I (Shannon) ordered these adorable water bottles! So now I am drinking chugging my daily water goal in style! Plus they were featured on our idol's blog...over at Iheart organizing.

4. We dyed eggs with the kidlets over the weekend. It was soooo much fun! We even managed to maintain a little {OCD} control. The kids loved it!

Disregard that Alfalfa hair. I have no idea what happened and I am not talented enough to photoshop it out.
So let's just pretend it's not there, mkay?

5. The boys and I took awesome silly face pictures. You might have seen some on our Instagram.
Look at us. We're so cute! I am trying to be more "in the moment" with my kids and to be a more present parent.

5. My car is getting fixed finally (from when I got hit in December) and I'm rollin a Buick for a while. #stylin

This is my #mixitupmarch outfit. When I wore this top the first time I wore it with the coral sweater. This week I wore it with a black cardigan and the coral scarf. I think I like the mix it up version better! What about you?
